I’ve been on the chase for a Tacoma for almost a year, and a week ago I finally plant one that fit almost every need I was looking for (2014, low miles, 4×4, sport, shortbed, doublecab). So im the happy owner of a new (to me) Tacoma. I had this scangauge in my old commuter workhorse, but I bought it near 7 years ago. Do I demand to update the firmware for it to work properly with my Tacoma? The electric current firmware is iv.three. Thanks for the help. Endeavour it without the update. The truck is 5 years old and so relatively your Scangauge isn’t that out of engagement. mx07gt [OP] Well-Known Fellow member Joined: May 30, 2019 Fellow member: #294837 Messages: 129 Waiting on the replacement cable to come in. Not a super big deal considering it’s a pain to switch between different things showing on the screen. I run 2 Scangauges. One has the latest firmware. The other does not. Here’south a pic. I don’t have all my sensors installed in this picture. It would be nice to be able to read TPMS, but I’m not besides concerned almost information technology. I retrieve I’d merely do information technology if I determine to run two gauges like yous. I don’t go out it on the display all the time simply scroll through pushing the lower left button and read the tire force per unit area while I permit the truck warm up a couple seconds in the forenoon. Once I get confirmation pressure is where I desire it on all 4 tires, I don’t need to gyre through again til the next twenty-four hours. Beats the monthly bank check I used to practise with a force per unit area gauge and is way more accurate. For the tape, I sent in an quondam SCII to Linear Logic. They updated the firmware, put it in a new case and shipped information technology back to me in a few days, all for around $25 if I remember right. Definitely worth it to have TPMS and tranny temp readout.
