What Is Firmware Update Screen in Lg V20

Hi guys.

While I was attempting to install a ROM, I pressed on Format Data and everything when bollocks. As stated in the title, Whenever I attempt to boot it upwards, it just stays on the “Firmware Update. At present waiting for whatever connection…” screen. I tried everything I idea of, but naught helped at all. Of course, I know of troubleshooting adjacent to nothing, and so I hoped someone could help me out with this?

The final affair I tried was flashing the H-918 .tot with LGUP, but that didn’t get me anywhere.

Same identical affair happened to me besides, I am looking for a solution, but because there is no KDZ file to restore it to factory settings, and the .Tot file doesnt piece of work past 10% with LGUP, we are both screwed, unless nosotros can figure out another way to solve this……

Attempt pressing volume downwardly and power then releasing power for ane second and repressing it while withal belongings volume downward. And then Manufactory Reset information technology. If that doesn’t work practise the start steps once more, just instead of doing the Factory Reset when it boots into the Factory Reset menu, hitting Yes twice, in recovery just Wipe Cache, and attempt Factory Reset there equally well later as last resort.

Press and hold “Power button” and “Book Downwardly button” for several seconds until LG logo appear on the screen. When LG logo appear, release your concord on both button for i 2d and then printing them upwards once again. Keep it up until the phone boot into “Recovery Mode” and when it does, you can release it once again.

Tried that. There’south no recovery manner anymore it seems. Only that “firmware update” screen.

When I enter fastboot, confirming that the bootloader is unlocked is just most the only thing I can exercise. Tried to push TWRP img, simply USB debugging is off.

I’m yet trying to figure out how to excerpt a .kdz from these devices I’ll upload ane when I figure information technology out. Considering I was in the situation y’all were in. Attempt locking and unlocking the bootloader information technology’s a wild attempt but sometimes you take to try stuff.

How-do-you-do. I’ve been in the same position for awhile. While looking for a new LGUP version or compatible .dll, I ran across this:
http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295. Using Uppercut, I was able to go to 11% in LGUP earlier information technology failed. I was using LGH918AT-01-V10d-310-260-SEP-14-2016-ARB00+0.tot.

The developer of Uppercut informed me that this is because the .tot not signed, so it looks similar I’chiliad still stuck.

My agreement is that nosotros tin’t use fastboot to wink the recovery sectionalisation directly because information technology’southward locked for the H918(?)

I thought I tried to relock and unlock my bootloader, but I’m going to effort that once more since I’ve goose egg else to do for the time being.

Edit: No luck with the relock/unlock. Hopefully, when a signed .kdz comes out, I’ll be ready.

It is version v10i. The main downside of this update is that recowvery is patched and there is no root for this version withal. I flashed it the other nighttime and got my phone back to stock.

thank you so much my friend! I did exactly the same thing you did, and my phone is live once more, lol! Yea, I no, it isn’t able to root withal, but I am certain we BOTH will be able to do it soon, cheers a million for writing me dorsum! Oh I used Lg Bridge to manufactory restore my phone…

Did you not have a backup. In that location are multiple things you can endeavor. Are yous fixed yet?

What variant do yous accept? Can y’all get into recovery? I accidentally lost my origanal backup and had to flash the h910 rom in the lg v20 roms forum. Information technology boots with the static screen just goes abroad afterward the screen sleeps.
