My Samsung 4K HDR Blu-Ray Role player UBDM9500 will not play “Star Expedition: Discovery” Season ii Blu-Ray discs. I get “Disc Mistake Disc does not see specifications” My firmware version is 1111.4 and no updates are available. I went through all the default troubleshooting procedures (Confirmed the Region code of the disc, unplug and re-plug and factory reset the player) with a Samsung CSR via chat. These are the only Blu-Ray discs I have that will not play but online forums show that this is a problem with other titles and has been going on for a month at present.

Connecting my LogiTech K830 wireless keyboard was a mystery until I pressed both the FN key (lower left of the keyboard) and the delete cardinal simultaneously. I followed the directions in the manual (page 47) precisely up till that time; after adding this little trick, the keyboard connected. Samsung manual editors might want to add this to their e-manual. This is a good product. If a prospective buyer looks on-line, they might be able to selection 1 up for a adept price. Its also well designed (congratulations engineers). I bought this Samsung 4K Blu Ray UBD-m9500 From All-time Buy five weeks ago and I just bought a couple of 4K disc. Marvel and Black Panther. I played them and they looked dark and washed out. I called Samsung Customer Service and after 1 1/2 hour of trying to fix it he told me the Actor does not have the hardware to decode the Disc properly HDR 10 / Dolby Vision He said they were sorry and nothing they could do. I told him how tin can they sell a 2018 4K Blu Ray Role player and less than a year it does not work on all disc. I have been a long time Samsung loyal customer for over 20 years and volition never buy some other item from them. All-time Buy will not return my 4K Actor because it’s been over 30 days. I am at present stuck with this 4K Histrion!!!!

On Jan 25, 2019, the new Samsung Blu Ray Thespian M9500 arrived. I used a loftier speed 9ready for 4k) HDMI cable to connect it to my 2010 Hd Telly (42′, not 4k, non a Samsung) & another high speed HDMI cable to connect to my 2011 Sound Bar (3.1, not Samsung). I volition utilize the 9500 to play DVDs & Blu Ray discs, but I by and large wanted it for streaming since my TV is an early smart TV that has a Netflix app, just not Amazon Prime number. My Television receiver won’t output audio except 2.1 PCM so the Netflix sound was not as proficient as information technology should be. I was streaming Amazon Prime number via HDMI cablevision from desktop computer to my TV (and the Prime sound non the sound quality that I could get). Both Netflix & Prime audio was going via Toslink digital cable from TV to Soundbar. To pause Prime number, I had to run over to my computer. With Wireless, I connected the Samsung 9500 to the Cyberspace. Amazon Prime motion-picture show at present is truly beautiful on my Telly, fashion better than streaming from calculator was. Netflix picture remains cute or I recollect looks even better now with the Blu Ray Player. Sound is now fantastic thru my soundbar for both Netflix and Prime because the highest quality audio (usually Dolby Digital but some PCM) is going from the Blu Ray Player from Netflix and Prime into the soundbar via the 2d HDMI. I merely have ane Blu Ray pic disc on hand which plays DTS, and that audio sounds fine, too. When I plow on the Blu Ray Player, fifty-fifty before I programmed its remote to turn on & off my Television (and change the input to the Blu Ray Player), the Blu Ray Player turned on the Idiot box. When the Blu Ray Player comes on, the screen shows at the lesser that you can insert a disc or click for Netflix or Amazon Prime number or a few others such equally Hulu or the Internet. The 9500 is super fast. The streaming services have not disconnected (as they did sometimes thru my TV’s Netflix ap) or given me any problem! I did non want to replace my TV & my research indicated that Samsung blu ray players are the best streaming devices, without glitches, for the best quality! As I said, there is an “Internet” choice at the bottom of the domicile screen and it is a full web browser. I oasis’t downloaded anything from it only I did check that it works. I went to download any updates for the 9500 but the screen said in that location’southward no updates nevertheless. CONS: (1) this doesn’t happen via streaming, just when I pause a disc & then wish to resume playing it, a white information banner takes upwards the top 1 fourth of the screen for 10 seconds, longer than information technology ought to, so that will be a minor badgerer. (2) The remote command is lite & feels lovely only actually needs words (like pause) printed on it. All printing should also be easier to encounter. Overall, I honey this blu ray role player. Have had only one little glitch, one BLu-Ray skipped for a few seconds, looked at CD and institute a piffling greasy finger print, my bad. So make clean your CD’s. I purchased the Blu-ray direct from Samsung. It took 2 weeks to send and 2 more weeks to fifty-fifty arrive. Even though I live on the W Coast, the packet went from California to Pennsylvania and and then back out W. Once received, I plugged in the Blu-ray and turned it on. The main disc wouldn’t fifty-fifty open up. I could hear a motor bulldoze but information technology would not open. There were no visual marks on the device. I connected it to my Samsung smart TV. It was recognized for a few minutes but and then the Tv would say at that place was no signal from the player, even though the TV recognized the device. I called customer service. I didn’t demand to wait long (good) just the person I spoke with didn’t seem to understand English language very well since I had to repeat myself several times (bad). Subsequently much troubleshooting, the “technician” said that there was something incorrect with the Blu-ray player. They would transport me a aircraft characterization, would cheque it out and endeavor and fix it. I told him that I had paid for a new player and not a refurbished one. I was told that I would go a call inside 24 hours to tell me the next steps. We’ll run across when they call.

I went with two other players before this one and returned them both within a few days time considering of malfunctioning, sloppy software in both of them. I though, how hard is it to find a 4K player that actually works without all of the B.S.?? So, I chose this one and glad I did. Unbelievably abrupt, clear picture, excellent audio, solid build and to top information technology all off, it works! I haven’t had not one glitch with it yet. Wi-fi is existence picked upwardly from clear across the house and works perfectly. As well, what really sold me on this is all of the online content it has. I don’t demand to use my R**u anymore. This should exist a top option for anyone looking for a no nonsense 4K role player that does everything information technology says it can.

I finally accept a 4K UltraHD disc player!!! I live watching movies and since I am kickoff to purchased more 4K movies I updated. The disc actor looks slap-up, cute terminate, but I wish Samsung begins to build an smaller disc player that doesn’t take a lot space. Having such a large item it’southward a turn off. I bought this Samsung DVD Blu-Ray histrion considering I had a new Samsung Tv set and Sound bar and my sometime DVD player would not work.On line suggested staying Samsung was all-time. I had to call Samsung back up to go the Telly to meet my new actor, they were swell. Still at present and and then I go a no signal bulletin and I accept to echo everything to become it to piece of work. Otherwise works great. My just other complaint would be the LED indicator on the unit are on top and hard to see, brighter and on the front would exist nicer!

Paired this to a Samsung KS8000 series TV. Unproblematic set up and instant gratification. Up until now I had only seen streaming 4K content from Amazon and Netflix. 4K Blu Rays are simply gorgeous (the FBI alert looks similar a sticker on your screen you could peel off), and the depth of the colors is noticeable even beyond the streaming versions. 1080p Blu Rays wait SO much meliorate now than they did with the erstwhile Blu Ray player. The VUDU app, unlike the one on the KS8000, allows proper streaming of 4k HDR content, although for Netflix there is a lilliputian buffering catamenia when a movie starts I oasis’t noticed on the TV App. Only thirty seconds or and so of non-HD. My current receiver doesn’t handle all of the new sound formats, just while waiting for an upgrade I can still hear the difference in my 12 twelvemonth one-time five.i system. Although my Television set isn’t curved the blueprint of this player is not a problem. It’due south in a cabinet and not noticeable. The remote for the player is very similar to the KS8000’s, enough that I can hands control the TV without having to switch.

We purchased this 4K HD Blu-Ray player to ultimately pair with a new 4K Samsung TV. The video quality and blu-ray kicking fourth dimension are infrequent. Love the apps which allow united states of america to stream Netflix, and Amazon Prime video as well as YouTube. There are other apps, gratuitous and paid content that we have looked at as well. Dear the sleek design. Remote is like shooting fish in a barrel to navigate either when playing a disc, streaming content, or navigating through apps and features. This is a wonderful piece with an expensive price tag. It is fast and responsive. Images are wonderful and we dearest the interface with our Samsung TV. Remote is user friendly and pleasing to the middle. The entire panel is pleasing to the eye… simply at a cost. The remote is the Merely source of controls. If y’all lose or pause it, you now own a very expensive paper weight. My toddlers got a hold of our remote and have decided to hide it. Until we find it, or buy a replacement, no DVDs/BluRays can exist played in our house. The built in wifi may allow application control through a smart device withal without a remote, we cant set up it upwards….
