I’ve been searching the web for and hour and a half, just trying to find out how long the update – meaning the Shutdown period – should take?  It’s been about 6 hours now, and it remains on Installing Update 3 of 4.

Wtf?  I understand why Windows is bombarding Google with notifications about the forced update.

But can’t they supply an answer to the simple question – How long should it take?  Should we turn off the PC, and do a system restore if necessary, if it takes more than X hours?

The hard drive light remains very busy, so I’m unsure if I should halt the blasted process.
