Bricked device, stuck on “Firmware Update” startup screen

Hi guys.

While I was attempting to install a ROM, I pressed on Format Information and everything when bollocks. Every bit stated in the title, Whenever I endeavour to kick it upwardly, it just stays on the “Firmware Update. Now waiting for any connection…” screen. I tried everything I thought of, merely nothing helped at all. Of class, I know of troubleshooting adjacent to nothing, so I hoped someone could assistance me out with this?

The last thing I tried was flashing the H-918 .tot with LGUP, but that didn’t get me anywhere.

Same identical thing happened to me as well, I am looking for a solution, but because there is no KDZ file to restore information technology to factory settings, and the .Tot file doesnt work past x% with LGUP, we are both screwed, unless we tin can figure out another way to solve this……

Effort pressing volume down and ability then releasing power for one 2nd and repressing it while still holding volume downwardly. So Factory Reset it. If that doesn’t work do the first steps again, merely instead of doing the Factory Reset when it boots into the Manufacturing plant Reset bill of fare, hitting Yes twice, in recovery just Wipe Cache, and try Factory Reset there as well after every bit last resort.

Endeavor pressing volume down and power then releasing power for 1 second and repressing it while yet belongings book downwards. And so Factory Reset it. If that doesn’t work do the first steps once more, but instead of doing the Factory Reset when it boots into the Mill Reset carte du jour, hitting Yes twice, in recovery simply Wipe Cache, and try Factory Reset at that place as well after equally final resort.

Thanks bro, but this doesnt work for me…..

Try pressing volume down and power and so releasing power for i second and repressing it while still holding volume down. Then Factory Reset information technology. If that doesn’t piece of work exercise the offset steps once again, only instead of doing the Factory Reset when it boots into the Mill Reset menu, hit Yes twice, in recovery only Wipe Cache, and try Factory Reset at that place equally well later on as last resort.

I’ve tried every button combination possible… it just sends me to that “firmware update” screen.

Looks like I’m stuck with this until someone leaks the .kdz and/or .dll files
:(

Press and hold “Power push button” and “Volume Down button” for several seconds until LG logo announced on the screen. When LG logo appear, release your hold on both button for 1 2d and then press them up again. Proceed it upward until the telephone boot into “Recovery Mode” and when it does, yous can release it once more.

When LG logo appear, release your concur on both button for ane 2d and so printing them up once again. Keep it up until the phone boot into “Recovery Manner” and when it does, you tin release it once again.

Tried that. At that place’s no recovery manner anymore it seems. Just that “firmware update” screen.

iI there an option to choose ‘Yes’? If there is choose ‘Yep’ twice.

No options man. Simply a progress bar at 0%, waiting for a USB connexion
:(

US996 or H918?

Tin can ADB connect with this “Waiting for USB” mode?

H918

When I enter fastboot, confirming that the bootloader is unlocked is only about the only thing I tin do. Tried to push button TWRP img, but USB debugging is off.

I’m still trying to figure out how to extract a .kdz from these devices I’ll upload one when I figure it out. Because I was in the situation yous were in. Endeavour locking and unlocking the bootloader it’s a wild try but sometimes y’all take to attempt stuff.

Hi. I’ve been in the same position for awhile. While looking for a new LGUP version or compatible .dll, I ran across this:
http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295. Using Uppercut, I was able to become to 11% in LGUP before it failed. I was using LGH918AT-01-V10d-310-260-SEP-fourteen-2016-ARB00+0.tot.

The developer of Uppercut informed me that this is because the .tot not signed, so it looks similar I’one thousand still stuck.

My agreement is that we can’t use fastboot to flash the recovery segmentation directly because it’s locked for the H918(?)

I thought I tried to relock and unlock my bootloader, just I’m going to effort that once again since I’ve nix else to exercise for the time being.

Edit: No luck with the relock/unlock. Hopefully, when a signed .kdz comes out, I’ll be ready.

I am in the exact same position, I tried to lgup and got to 9% failed, and I used the aforementioned thing LGH918AT-01-V10d-310-260-SEP-14-2016-ARB00+0.tot, if we only had the .dll file we could restore dorsum to factory settings….dammit! I was also using UPPERCUT too…

It is version v10i. The main downside of this update is that recowvery is patched and there is no root for this version yet. I flashed information technology the other night and got my phone back to stock.
