Important Notice

  • Use a fully charged rechargeable battery pack NP-FW50 or the Ac adapter Ac-PW20 (sold separately).
  • Practise not remove the battery or AC adapter during the update; equally the sudden loss of ability may render the camera inoperable.
  • Remove the memory card from the camera before starting the update process.
  • Forbid your computer from entering Slumber style.
  • Do not connect the camera to other whatsoever other devices except your calculator.

How to download the Updater:

Install

Footstep one: Outset the Updater

  1. Close all programs currently running on your computer.
  2. Double-click the [Update_ILCE6300V201.exe] file that you downloaded. Do not connect the camera to the computer all the same.
  3. The System Software Updater starts.

  4. Turn on the camera.
  5. Following the instructions in the Organisation Software Updater window, on the photographic camera, select Menu > Setup subpage 4 > USB Connection and check if Mass Storage is selected.
    If a mode other than Mass Storage is selected, delight select Mass Storage.

  6. Connect the camera to the computer with the supplied USB cablevision. “USB Style” appears on the LCD screen of the camera.
    Annotation: If the computer cannot detect the device, the message “Could non find the camera for this update” is displayed on the computer screen. Please effort the following:
    • Disconnect the USB cablevision and connect it again.
    • If the computer has multiple USB terminals, try with the other terminals.

    Sometimes when the photographic camera is connected to the calculator with the USB cable, a message prompting you to restart the calculator may be displayed. In this instance, remove the battery pack or Air conditioning adapter from the photographic camera, reboot the computer, and follow the instructions from “2. Outset the Arrangement Software Updater”.

  7. Bank check the LCD screen of the camera, then click Next. The current version number and updated version number appear on the lower left side of the screen. Subsequently confirming that the current software version is “Ver.2.00 or earlier”, click Next. If the electric current system software version is ii.01 or later, the update is not required. In this case, disconnect the camera from the computer and click Finish. Turn off the camera, remove the battery pack and/or the AC adapter, reinsert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter and plough the camera back on.

  8. Click Side by side. The post-obit screen appears.

  9. Afterwards automatically resetting, the post-obit screen is shown.

    The progress bar appears during the update process (approximately 5 minutes).


    Annotation: Never plough off the photographic camera or disconnect the USB cable while updating.
  10. When the update is consummate, the device will automatically restart. Make sure the device is turned on and look until the LCD screen starts up. Click Finish when the LCD screen appears and disconnect the USB cable.


    Later restarting, a data recovery warning is sometimes displayed. This is normal. Please wait until this warning disappears.

Footstep 2: Ostend the organisation software version of your device is Ver.2.01.

  1. On the camera, select Menu > Setup subpage seven > Version
  2. The arrangement software version is displayed as illustrated beneath.
