Decide if Your Camera Needs the Update

This update is simply for cameras that currently accept a firmware version
1.x
or lower.
If your camera firmware version is already Version
two.00, this update is not necessary.

Bank check the version of your camera firmware:

  1. Power on the photographic camera.
  2. Press the

    Menu
    screen, select
    Setup.
  4. At the
    Setup
    screen, select
    Version.
  5. The firmware version is displayed on the LCD screen.

    or higher, the photographic camera does not need this update.

Download and Update the Firmware
Go to Table of Contents

  1. Download the
    SLT-A55V2_Update1105a.dmg
    file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Get to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the
    SLT-A55V2_Update1105a.dmg
    file.

    Note:
    Exercise not connect the camera to the computer notwithstanding.

  3. On the desktop, double-click the
    SLT-A55V2_Update1105a
    icon.
  4. Double-click the
    Firmware Updater
    icon.
  5. At the
    Password
    prompt screen, enter the
    Name
    and
    Password
    for the administrative account, and then click
    OK.
  6. Connect the camera to your figurer using the supplied USB cable.

    Note:
    The LCD screen on the camera volition turn off when information technology is continued to the computer.

  7. At the
    Firmware Updater
    window, click
    Adjacent.

    Ver.1, click
    Next.

    If the current version is
    Ver.2, your camera does not need this update. Stop the USB connectedness, click
    Finish, then remove the battery or disconnect the Air conditioning adaptor briefly, and then ability on the photographic camera again.

  11. When the following screen is displayed, printing the center button of the
    Control Wheel
    to reset the camera.

    Note:
    Practice not disconnect the USB cable from the photographic camera or the computer.

    window, click

  13. When the following screen is displayed, click

  15. Disconnect the USB cable, power off the camera, so remove the battery pack or AC adapter.
  16. Reconnect the battery pack or AC adapter and power on the photographic camera.

Check the Firmware Version Afterward Updating (optional)

  2. Press the
    Card
    button.
  3. At the
    Menu
    screen, select
    Setup.
  4. At the
    Setup
    screen, select
    Version.
  5. The firmware version is displayed on the LCD screen.
