2017-Mar-nine 6:24 pm [Firmware] Re: Comcast DPC3941T New Firmwire Loaded terminal nightcomputerman2: Should I configured from scratch or was reloading saved config fine to exercise The changes in the firmware may non be compatible with your saved file so information technology may exist all-time to setup everything again then save the new setup as a backup file. What I ever do with router firmware updates as you lot do not e’er know what was inverse. |
so far only copied the wifi passwords, most restored saved file, but decided didn’t really need to |
Re: [Firmware] Comcast DPC3941T New Firmwire Loaded last nightwonder if this has anything to do with the firmware fix Intel released for the “Puma 6” chipset, of which this gateway is unfortunately infected. |
What I was wondering to, but not sure yet, as too early to make a judgement with the games if its running meliorate than it previously did…nonetheless checking things out |
maybe utilize this site’s checker tool |
yes tin exercise that when I don’t accept the other game running, and hopefully have good results |
I also wonder (merely pretty much know the answer): when will this make it to the business class variant, the DPC3941B |
side by side up is the 1682g hopefully |
So my DPC3941T looks like it upgraded concluding night as well. I have mine in bridge style, merely now after the update the Wifi lights on the front end of the gateway are flashing constantly. I don’t run across the active Wifi – looks to just be the lights. Anyone else seeing this? I did exercise a restore and turned span mode on again – no luck, still has the lights flashing. netnothing: And so my DPC3941T looks like it upgraded last nighttime as well. I take mine in span mode, but now after the update the Wifi lights on the front of the gateway are flashing constantly. I don’t encounter the active Wifi – looks to just be the lights. Anyone else seeing this? I did practice a restore and turned bridge fashion on over again – no luck, still has the lights flashing. Cable Modem HW Version:1.0 -Kevin I also have my gateway in bridge way and it seems similar this firmware no longer disables the wireless network when placed in span mode. It but hides the SSID now. |
Interesting. SSID definitely not shown, but I tried manually connecting to the network and it tells me No network found. I also have the Xfinity Home hotspot turned off. -Kevin |
Study in Offical Xfinity Forums on a 2d update for DPC 3941T models, version 2.3p15s2_PROD_sey, no changelog or annihilation on information technology, aforementioned for ane noticed yesterday though |
2017-Mar-11 12:04 am Similar the 3941 the 1682G has had several updates, the lights tin behave differently each time. Recently using the 1682G when setting bridge mode, the wifi lights practice leave initially. If doing a quick reset (non a factory reset) or a powercycle the lights start to wink at i sec intervals…., but the home gateway wireless remains off. |
I talked with a Comcast tech on the Direct forums and he said in that location was a issues in the latest firmware with the lights. He mentioned having an pick to disable under Wifi. He went into my gateway and disabled the radios for me. Guessing the new update you talk about might fix that event, as information technology definitely isn’t behaving as it used to. -Kevin |
I was originally able to log into my xfinity gateway and disable the public xfinity wfi but no anymore. Does anyone accept updates to these … thank you. |
I always turned the public hotspot off via the Xfinity app on iOS on via my account online: »client.xfinity.com/#/south ··· internet -Kevin |
Lights bug my butt! Looks like they’ve locked out the ability to close off their ssids. |
I have the light issues too. Did nobody test this firmware update? The wifi lights are flashing, and the second telephone lite is active even without anything connected. |
Well I know I didn’t test it, suddenly arrived over nighttime one nighttime, and yeah 2d phone light active Wifi I apply on the device, and so those on for me, normal, but 2nd phone light lighted up with nothing continued–i’d say non normal |
This week I had a technician come out, and he thought it wasn’t normal as well. He called his dispatch, and they admitted the 2d telephone line was a issues, and the ii WIFI lights were standard even he told him fifty-fifty in Bridge manner. So he concluded the call. We both didn’t concord with dispatch, and he has non seen this before, and he replace the modem. The new modem (ane I accept now) didn’t take the current firmware, so it was working fine, and the next day it went back to the current firmware. I then try to talk to Tier one back up online twice about to written report a trouble with the firmware. She reassure me that it wasn’t a firmware problem and Comcast cannot roll back the old firmware because were not responsible for firmware the only way to report it is by CISCO, so I ended the chat and she reset the router |
Nah, actually with the 1682G I was just able to disable the Xfinity Abode ii.four network. For this device, with subsequent firmware updates this (workaround) has been taken away. The hotspot had and all the same does AFAIK have to be disabled in the account. (not quite certain what the big deal is with DPC3941T firmware updates is, it’due south their gear, go used to it) lol. |

We got a new firmware load on the DPC3941B to dpc3941b-v303r20421746-170221a-CMCST back on iii/14. |
train_wreck: wonder if this has annihilation to do with the firmware fix Intel released for the “Puma 6” chipset, of which this gateway is unfortunately infected. Actually, this appears to exist a firmware upgrade to permit some of the newer Xfinity XB3 gateways to support Comcast’due south new “Digital Home” platform that they appear at this year’southward CES: From:
Got DPC3941_2.3p16s1_PROD_sey in NJ this morning. |
Gonna have to reboot mine over again and see if I become the ii.3p16s1 in the morning, got 2.3p14 I think right now, was when I looked before |
Got this firmware as well. No alter in the WiFi lights while in bridge mode. -Kevin |
Also in bridged mode, and I’ve the aforementioned model and all (information technology’s on DPC3941_2.3p16s1_PROD_sey), same effect (wifi lights blinking), for at present it’s electric tape to the rescue for the lights. Using some wifi tools information technology does non seem to be connectable, but if you go into troubleshooting tab and utilise the spectrum you can see the radios are active. They likewise seemed to have cleaved the logd for me, and the advanced tab leads to a new page called dynamic_dns.php which has access denied when attempting to utilise it, the hardware info page is also kind of borked. Nice update. |
p14s2 This update is so ridiculous you merely have to express joy nigh information technology. How does something like this always get pushed out to customers?! The Wi-Fi condition isn’t fifty-fifty consistent: Gateway > Hardware > Wireless Gateway > Connection > Status Gateway > At a Glance Gateway > Connection > Wi-Fi SSID’s are not actually being advertised. — Bombardment Installed: No Exercise take a battery installed — Gateway > Hardware > LAN Ethernet — System Logs appears to not exist working. |
2017-Mar-29 ten:36 am Yeah, there’due south a thread on reddit near it, a comcast employee claims the following, and I quote: “We were updating the DPC3941T with RDK so that could exist what the update was. I believe it was last calendar week when we had a big push to get those completed.” So information technology just looks like the big wigs wanted it out the door to endeavor and stay consistent with the announcement whether it was prepare or not. It’s Comcastic! |
