]
One day, in the year ????, the sun and moon began to fight day and night.
Marx: “Hey, hey, hey.”
“Can y’all make peace betwixt the Sun and Moon?”
“You lot need to inquire the giant comet
Nova
for help!”
“Simply kickoff, in that location’due south something we must practice.”
“To inquire Nova, we must assemble ability from all the stars around u.s.a..”
“It will be difficult, Kirby, only you can practice it!”
“We are counting on you. Skilful luck!”
The story begins as Kirby and other onlookers witness the lord’s day and moon of
Pop Star
fighting incessantly for command of the heaven, causing day and dark to shift dramatically. Every bit they expect on, a small jester named
Marx
comes riding in on a brawl, telling Kirby that the only mode to stop this is to summon the behemothic comet
Nova
using free energy from the planets in the Milky way.
Kirby visits 7 major planets, collecting a star from each ane. Once he has all 7, he uses them to summon the great Comet from across space and time. Nova proclaims to Kirby that he may accept one wish, but before Kirby can make that wish, Marx appears out of nowhere, bumps Kirby out of the fashion, and wishes for consummate command of Pop Star. Nova grants Marx his wish, every bit he gloats to Kirby, proverb he got the sunday and moon to fight in social club to steal this opportunity. Both Nova and Marx fly off toward Pop Star, as Kirby is left stranded out in space. Thankfully, the stars he collected coalesce into the
Starship, which Kirby uses to brand chase.
The lord’s day and moon come dorsum to their senses and concur off Nova, giving Kirby time to enter the bang-up clockwork beast and disable its Nucleus, preventing it from granting Marx’southward wish. From at that place, Kirby has to battle Marx directly. Upon defeating him in his powered-upwardly form, Marx goes careening into the disabled Nova, causing both of them to explode, and the day to exist saved.
Overview
[

]
Milky Mode Wishes is the final main game mode in
Kirby Super Star
and the penultimate game fashion in
Kirby Super Star Ultra
. It can be seen as a culmination of all previous game modes, using aesthetics, enemies, and bosses from earlier games, though ofttimes making them more powerful. The but unique bosses in Milky Way Wishes are faced at the very finish of the game fashion, once all six main planets are cleared.
Despite this, Milky Way Wishes has a couple of unique mechanics to it. As explained in the
Beginner’s Room, Kirby is unable to obtain
copy abilities
in a normal fashion for the well-nigh part; enemies which normally provide abilities in other modes will grant Kirby nothing when swallowed. Instead, Kirby must discover special items in each stage called Re-create Essences Deluxe, which permanently grant him admission to certain abilities. Once an essence is obtained, the histrion tin choose it from a menu containing all abilities that take been unlocked, and Kirby will automatically exist granted the power selected.
In addition, Milky Fashion Wishes features singled-out planets as stages, which can be visited and completed in any order, although a natural order does exist, as outlined in the table in the next section. Each phase prior to the final 1 contains at least 1 Copy Essence Deluxe hidden within. While it is not required to collect any of these to consummate the game, collecting every essence is required for
100% completion. The master objective Kirby has on each planet is to locate and defeat the boss, and then collect a star from that planet’s
fountain.
Stages

These are the stages in Milky Way Wishes too every bit the Copy Essence Deluxe pedestals and
bosses
they have. Kirby can practice these in any social club, but a line of stars connects a completed planet to another planet, and if Kirby follows this pattern, he will become through all the levels in the post-obit social club (barring Planet

Main article:
Marx
After the Galactic Nova stage is cleared, Kirby is automatically thrown onto an unknown planet where he must practice battle with Marx in his powered-upwardly country. This fight plays out in a very similar fashion to the boxing against
Nightmare
in
Kirby’s Run a risk
/
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Country
, although Kirby does not use whatsoever sort of special weapon in the battle, instead relying on whatever
Copy Essence Deluxe
abilities he has managed to find up to this bespeak, or using no ability at all if he prefers.
Marx moves apace around the battleground, having the ability to teleport at will, create vortexes, shoot laser beams, and wing through the ground for an ambush, alongside some other more abstruse attacks. He can exist very difficult to predict, and does non leave Kirby very much opportunity or fourth dimension to retaliate with
Star Bullets.
In one case he is defeated, Marx flies uncontrollably off toward the Galactic Nova. He collides with it, causing the Nova to explode in dramatic style in-queue with
the end music. From in that location, Kirby flies back home on his
Warp Star, as the sun and moon dance in commemoration.
Differences between versions
[
edit
]
While gameplay, stage design, and enemy layout is largely the same between
Kirby Super Star
and
Kirby Super Star Ultra
, the visuals are quite different between the two, particularly when information technology comes to cut-scenes. Dissimilar in
Revenge of Meta Knight, however, the dialogue spoken in the cut-scenes are largely unchanged betwixt the ii versions.
Like with all other cut-scenes, the cut-scenes for Galaxy Wishes are handled with spritework in the original game, and with 3-D total-motion video in the remake. As such, cut-scenes in the original tend to exist quicker and punchier, while scenes in the remake are slower, merely more fluid in motion for the most part.
Aside from the more general upgrades in graphics, the sprite-work in Milky way Wishes also changes more than drastically in the remake, giving all bosses different color palettes in add-on to the enemy and mid-boss palette changes shared past both versions. Notable examples include
Twin Woods
bearing a fall awning,
Kracko
appearing with a light blue hue, and
Heavy Lobster
appearing with a silverish hauberk instead of gold.
