I have experience in flashing that stuff since over 10 years and dd-wrt is the outset one, which bricked information technology.
All other was able to be recovered using the Asus tool or CFE webserver, just dd-wrt is to stupid to back up that as it seems and killed information technology totally.

I flashed my rt-ac3200 to dd-wrt. To get it back to stock, I put the router in recovery mode then flashed it using tftpd32.

I also tried to put it in recovery mode, simply it does not offset in recovery mode.
I gave my network card 192.168.one.99 + subnet 255.255.255.0 and never get a response when doing xxx-xxx-30 reset or merely endeavor to boot in recovery mode. So too tftp method wouldn’t work.

Forget 30/thirty/xxx. How are you lot putting it into recovery mode?
Worse example scenario utilize serial recovery. If you don’t desire to do it, I volition practice I if y’all pay ii way shipping.
I stock-still another fellow member’s rt-ac68u this week with serial recovery.
Neither he nor I could get information technology into recovery way. I take done that plenty of times, so I know I was doing it correctly.

Trying to flash the latest, r31924, to my new RT AC3200. Only leads to the miniweb CFE page. I’ve tried flashing from Merlin, Tomato, and with the Asus Restoration tool. Nothin seems to piece of work. I’ve also tried flashing the previous build with the same results.
Is at that place something I’yard missing?

Thanks. I was finally able to go build r30949 to boot. But so it would stop working when trying to prepare a repeater bridge.
Ultimately, I was able to flash to Kong’s latest(5/xi) beta build. And THAT seems to be working beautifully.

hi, offset af all, cheers to all that participate to the evolution to the RT-AC3200 firmware.
I have been using dd-wrt since information technology early days and only wanted to share my personal experience with the firmware on this specific hardware.
I initially attempt to install the latest release from June 2017 and could not undestand why information technology would non piece of work, tried the recovery tool and notwithstanding naught so I decided to try information technology backward…. I downloaded all the version from june 2017 all the fashion to december 2015…aye…
And one after another, they failed flashing until…. the latest release of dec 2015
I also flash the latest Kong, this flashed but no net…
At this point the merely firmware fully functional are AsusMerlin and “Tomato by Shibby”
I would really love to use dd-wrt like I am on my 890L and my EA6900 but at this point, no happiness at that place.
Once again, this is not a complain, just an explanation of my current situation with dd-wrt on the AC3200

all in eoip configurations, some with vlans running wep and wpa.
Some with proftp enabled and smb enabled. Mixed ISP from Timewarner cable, Cox Cable and AT&T Uverse.

But a quick question: is it possible to utilise the RT-AC3200 with different operating modes at the same time?
I would like to utilise the ii.4GHz and the starting time 5 GHz interface in access indicate mode and the second 5 GHz interface in bridge way (to connect it to my main router).
I tried concluding year, and there seemed to be a commuter limitation that resulted in the device bootlooping when doing this kind of setup. I had to reset using the serial interface.

I’ve been doing exactly what you are trying to do for at least iii or 4 years with various routers including this one.

Thanks for the heads upwards!
Do I demand to practise annihilation specific instead of flashing dd-wrt first so the Kong K3 AC build mentioned above?
I just desire to make sure I don’t run across the same issue again. When I tried in January, in that location however was some kind of driver limitation that did not allow the kind of configuration I want and which got me stuck in a bootloop.

Kong doesn’t accept a file for get-go flash. Flash the bs build first.
