The other solar day I went to GameStop and bought a used PSP 1001 for similar $89.99 + taxation and 4GB SanDisk retentiveness stick pro duo for $29.99 + taxation. I went abode and to my disgust, whoever owned information technology previously upgraded the firmware to 6.37! I AM willing to buy a Pandora battery to downgrade this PSP merely I have quite a few questions to enquire.
1.)Where can I buy a decent inexpensive Pandora bombardment?
2.)Whats the max size of a memory stick that a PSP 1001 can use?
3.)Can someone link me to some tutorials on how to downgrade?
four.)What tin the mods do for the PSP?
v.)OFW and CFW, what do they hateful? (LOL)
I want to get my PSP to play backed up PSP ISOs, is this possible? I am a total NOOB to modding a PSP, though I have modded my PS2 last yr with Costless MCBoot (I know this info is totally irrelevant) LOL! Merely anyways, if someone can give me some links and a management to follow, that would exist much appreciated! Thanks in accelerate!

PS Sorry if these questions have been asked earlier…I’m using the search function at the moment to come across if whatever of these questions have been asked.

    EDIT:

    I read this topic:
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-149/psp_fat_6_37_need_mod_for_it-889990/

Eisherz states that “Pandora Battery and Magic Retentiveness Stick” will modd the PSP, where can I get a Magic Retentiveness Stick? (too is in that location a tutorial on that?)

    EDIT 2:
Hmmm, just constitute a topic to brand a Pandora Battery, should I attempt this?
    :p
Has anyone tried and did this successfully?

No, ome reason why you can’t: 6.38 ME is unsigned, pregnant you accept to be on CFW (=Custom Firmware) or HEN (non-permanent homebrew enabler) get-go to install this.
In order to go CFW on this PSP you need a Pandora Battery and a Magic Memory stick.
To get a Magic Memory Stick, merely google Magic Retentiveness Stick maker.
To go the Pandora Bombardment go to world wide web.dealextreme.com or one of the other resellers.
    For tutorials, go to youtube.
And if yous want to hardmod your original Sony battery into a Pandora to save near four US$, you can follow the tutorial you found, but if y’all don’t do information technology right (or don’t practise the unmod right) yous could end up with a expressionless battery.
    Enough spoonfed.

Might piece of work. I’d still recommend ownership a Pandora, nobody knows how stable half-dozen.38 ME is.

No, you won’t brick it, it simply won’t work. The retentivity stick should piece of work, but for a Magic Retentivity stick I suppose a smaller one.

    I bought this
    http://www.dealextreme.com/p/pandora-psp-unbricker-service-battery-memory-stick-duo-2gb-combo-12710
. It comes with a 2gb Duo retentivity that I will use every bit a Magic Memory Stick. And the 16gb pro duo that I bought I will use for games, media, etc. I ended up buying a charger/data chord combo for my PSP as well as a duo memory USB adapter for my PC. Man, Deal Extreme has some pretty sweet prices! I’m going to order more from them in the future! Cheers everyone for your assist! I appreciate it alot!!
