Flash Firmware Unlocked Note 8 to Verizon

Hello anybody i am just trying to get some data i have been reading a lot of threads the last couple of days. And I am curious to know. I am switching carriers from Verizon to Tmobile and bringing my note eight with me. what i want to know is if i wink my note 8 from Verizon to tmobile firmware, volition it unlock the bands that i currently can’t use. I am enlightened that tmobile utilizes a couple of different bands that Verizon doesn’t. And so I am just trying to go some clarification on this. Thanks over again for all your help.

I have already downloaded odin and the latest tmobile firmware. I just want to be sure it’s been about four years since i have flashed anything. I wasn’t sure if i had to wink VZW firmware first then tmobile or can i become straight to tmobile. Thank you once more

Follow the instructions in the link I just posted above. I don’t remember yous have to flash the Verizon software first you tin can go direct to T-Mobile. I would exercise a factory reset of the telephone before you first simply to make sure everything goes smoothly. Make sure to follow the instructions to a T though. This is just a suggestion simply I would consider flashing the unlocked version of the Firmware. That would open up all of the bands and you wouldn’t have to deal with all of T-Mobiles bloatware that is pretty bad peculiarly their T-Mobile app and a couple of other apps that are very intrusive they install.

I actually utilise both carriers but i am just going to stick with TMobile only considering for that extra 25 a month you get truly unlimited tethering with very little throttle after 50 gig the just time they throttle me is perhaps at 9am and 5 to vii pm and still information technology’south non that bad only the balance of the time i get speeds of upwards to 40mb per sec and that’due south fine with me. with Verizon in one case you lot break that 22gb marker your washed and they charge a fortune in overages.

i know that’due south why i have to flash to change carriers and and then i have use of all the bands i did it on my s7 and it worked perfectly. Got all the bands got every feature including wifi calling video calling everything. just with the note information technology’s got this one file that i tin’t seem to find. I can insert my tmobile sim but i only go LTE in sure areas due to not having use of all the bands. it was the same on my S7 equally well until i flashed it then i got everything all bands. But like right now where i am sitting i get a full LTE betoken on my S7 and and basically no service on my note 8 again all depending on where i am.
