Epson Firmware Downgraded It Cannot Be Updated

EPSON WF-3620
Hello….my laptop is not appearing as an choice to scan to in the control panel bill of fare for Scan….it used to be there but mo longer is. Any help to guide me on getting my laptop to appear would be greatly appreciated

If y’all haven’t done the firmware update, download that and exercise it starting time. Also download the Drivers & Utilities philharmonic package.
All of what follows should exist done on your laptop.
In Control Console, Devices & Printers, delete the existing WF-3620 device (or devices, if it splits it for printer and scanner).
Reboot your system, run the Drivers & Utilities combo bundle.

Many thank you for your time and post. Even so, when I go to do this, it shows my model name/connection blazon (network)/and nether status it says “Downgraded”(information technology cannot be updated) preventing me from starting the update

Which “this”? The firmware update? If so, then just skip it.
Definitely remove the existing device, unplug the physical device from the computer, install the Drivers & Utilities philharmonic, reboot, and do what’s necessary for an initial setup. Not knowing every specific virtually this device I don’t know if you will have to do a wired setup before using wireless, simply that should be documented in the Owner’s Handbook or Quick Start guide.

“This” meant my inability to do the firmware update due to the “downgrade” notification.
I proceeded as yous suggested. I turned off and completely unplugged the printer. Uninstalled the printer on my computer. Donwnloaded the file you suggested. Turned off my reckoner. Turned the printer dorsum on. Turned the computer back on. Installed the file and followed the windows prompts for the printer every bit never having been on the network. Still no luck. All I tin assume/try at this betoken is to unplug my router for a minute or so and plug it dorsum in to reboot. Information technology’south like my laptop is not appearing on the network for the printer to capture and place equally an option in the “scan” prompt on the printer…….

Well, you lot should certainly try ability cycling your router/modem-router, that’s for sure.
Yous practice need to exist sure your network has the devices on it such that they tin can recognize each other’southward beingness.
