He was decorated last nighttime late with another issue so he did non get to it, sorry.
we currently have 3 open support tickets and 2 of them (wistech & jjonson) and maybe Tony (wistech) all seem to be related to the renumbering of the default VLAN.

A good idea is to be able to choose direction VLAN equally with the TOUGHswitch (and other switches)
I know I can requite the switch an IP-address on all VLANs merely I don’t think that’s great fashion to practice it…
You guys do relaize that the IP you assign to the VLANs is ONLY for doing ping examination from the switch to the device on that port, the device has to exist in the same subnet of this secondary IP on the VLAN as this IP is Not routable as information technology has no gateway.
Then if you want the switch to ping a radio continued to a port that is in a different VLAN/subnet information technology does not need to hitting the router offset, nor is this IP even capable of being routed as it has no gateway!!!!!
The default VLAN is the direction VLAN, and just the IP set under the Device/Config Tab is routable, y’all change the VLAN ID or Name to what you lot want only Call up ONLY the IP set on the Device/Config Tab is routable. This is why the default VLAN’south little gear is grayed out as it used the direction IP fix in the Device/Condition Tab.
If you thought the IP assigned on the the VLAN tab was routable and was relying on this IP to communicate exterior it’southward sub-net then the switch could not go out causing sure safety routines in the switch firmware on boot up to find that something is wrong and forcefulness a reboot which is where this reboot loop is coming from.
We were asked to put the secondary IP on the VLANs so people could set up the ping picket domestic dog to ping devices directly without needing to be routed if the device was in some other sub-cyberspace.
We are calculation Large RED messages on the window that pops upwardly where yous assign the VLAN IP to convey to users that this is NOT a routable IP nor is it meant to be used as the management IP that is found nether the Device/Config Tab. Nevertheless you tin access the UI via this IP address if you are in the same sub-net and on the same layer two segment and only if and so, but ever exterior this sub-internet.
If this does non explain it then this volition:

Re: Firmware ane.2.0rc4 comments
Almost gear up to release a new version of 1.ii.0rcX, a piddling more testing, maybe tomorrow! – Looks good though then far as we found the cause of the problems.
Previous version of one.2.0rc5,4,3,two,one has serious bugs – DO Not USE
v1.ane.0 and v1.1.ane are fine for the most part except when switch is using a DHCP accost
