Dell Intel Pro5400 Series Solid State Drive Firmware Update

Dell Intel Pro5400 Series Solid State Drive Firmware Update

Hello there,

in this Post i want to tell y’all how to update the Firmware of Intel OEM-SSD similar it can exist plant at many Sellers for a lower price. I bought an Intel SSD Pro 7600P 512GB some fourth dimension ago with Firmware L08P installed and found out that it can’t be updated past using the intel ssd toolbox.

I take made a (slightly shitty but at least readable and understandable) tutorial and added pictures to this Post. So please don’t judge me too hard.

Earlier we brainstorm you have to know if your drive has been used as a Lenovo OEM Organization drive in the past. If the drive is from some other systembuilder this tutorial is not suitable – or at least it might give you an idea, how the update might be done, when your drive is listed below.

*** UPDATE ***

The tool was updated ii days ago and for now it contains the Firmware L14P for this bulldoze. Everything refering to the newer Update on the bottom of this Mail service

The Intel Solid Country Bulldoze Toolbox won’t update your drive when a Systembuilder-Firmware is installed – contact the system manufacturer to optain newer firmware

  • Step ii: Google for “Lenovo NVMe Solid Country Drive Firmware Update Utility” -> this might guide you to the Lenovo PC Support Homepage

  • The shown txt file tin can exist opened by clicking the download-button at the right end. This TXT-File contains the supported Lenovo Models (not important)

  • shows changes in the current version

  • the supported intel drives

the drive i used is the SSDPEKKF512G8L

  • besides as the current firmware in this package and some other stuff

  • If the drive and depending firmware is mentioned in this text file you lot tin download the firmware update utility mentioned at step iii (fwnva37w.null)

  • extract the downloaded tool

  • go to the Intel folder

  • run the file with the latest date of change equally administrator

in my instance running irmfuu_7.1.12_win64 with alter date 2nd of november 2019 worked in this instance

  • The Tool will update the firmware to the version that comes with the bundle. In my Case the electric current Firmware is already the newest so no Firmware-Update has been made. I volition Update this thread when a newer firmware is available.

As this worked for the Bulldoze i used id should normally work for following intel drives too

          Intel SSDPEKKF512G7L - Intel SSD Pro 6000p 512GB SSDPEKKF360G7L - Intel SSD 600p 360GB SSDPEKKF256G7L - Intel SSD Pro 6000p 256GB SSDPEKKF256G8L - Intel SSD Pro 7600p 256GB SSDPEKKF512G8L - Intel SSD Pro 7600p 512GB - the bulldoze i used in this Tutorial SSDPEKKF010T8L - Intel SSD Pro 7600p 1024GB / 1TB HBRPEKNX0203ALO Some misterious Intel Drive, iii Matches on Google worldwide :(

This Tutorial might conform for following drives also (i have not testet this – no bulldoze no update). The Update-Package contains executables in the manufacturers folders for all the drives supported in this package. Then if you are dauntless enough you could give this a try (i refer to the disclaimer): These are the supported Drives
