fwiw, if you are having problems installing the new Padavan/Radmir firmware from the stock GUI, you should try flashing the smaller ‘nano’ build in the get-go instance via the stock Belkin GUI.

If this fails, then you may want to accept a read at this older message.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=139046&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=285

Information technology suggests flashing 072 build which seems to bypass the product ID bank check. One time 072 is installed, you should be able to update to a after build.

Do then at your own take a chance.

In my feel, I remember the serial no. is deleted, and the default belkin SSID and passphrase exercise change, if yous install the Padavan firmware and afterward try to render to stock Belkin firmware expecting everything to return to normal.

The MAC address besides changes when using Padavan firmware. I can’t call up what MAC accost appears if you lot subsequently return to using Belkin stock firmware.

Just want to share my experience with this forum since the forum was very helpful.

Merely bought a Belkin N750 F9K1110V1. Groovy router with greater range than the Linksys EA6500 it replaced. However, router would hang weekly and I had to disconnect/reconnect power to restart.

Equally per info from an earlier postal service in this forum, I flashed it with Padavan firmware / BN750DB_3.4.three.8-086_base (released November iii, 2014).

Flashed ok, just lost internet connectivity. Got amber LED (instead of blue.) I could adhere wired and wireless devices, only none to connect to internet.

I powered downwardly router, tried manufactory reset on router, and as well tried to ability down router and modem (a Cisco DPC3825) all to no avail. EXCEPT…

What actually worked was to exit router powered on, and simply cycle modem ability. Took a minute just router at present has blue LED and internet has been working fine since.

Its only been a couple of days, simply and then far so good.

Thank you everyone.

I am on version 85 I think though I accept seen version 87 is out now any reason for me to upgrade at all?.

I must say this firmware is amazeing information technology actually is.

With stock firmware I would get hangs and all sorts with this I aint restarted in ane.5 months and notwithstanding going strong :O.

It seems to be depression on retention its at 20MB and never seems to clear spare retention sop peradventure I should restart to aid that merely I get no issues.

And so any way to run across modify logs for latest builds?

Thanks all

Reply to MichaelB:

Probably the reason why you had to power bicycle your modem to go an net connection, is because the MAC address on WAN port your Belkin was changed later flashing from stock to Padavan/Radmir firmware. It is often normal practise to power cycle the modem if you alter the router or if you lot alter the MAC accost, when using DHCP (IPoE) WAN blazon connection.

Respond to stk2008:

I understand 085 is current stable build. 086 and I think 087 are called ‘Nightly’ builds. ie. experimental.

Reply to rajivmishra13:

I don’t believe there is whatsoever Padavan-based custom firmware for any Belkin AC router. This is considering the F9k1113 uses a Broadcom SoC, non RaLink.

I have some other question if I may?.

I have a Belkin N750 with Padavans awesome firmware installed version 85.

I take an hard bulldoze connected to USB and it works nifty I accept total access VIA FTP and network but here is my problem.

I havefour folders within the network on the difficult bulldoze

my folder

my wifes folder

my sons

my daughters

I have films in my folder that I dont desire to kids to be able to see EG horros etc etc

But off course in my kids folders are films I would like them to be able to admission.

I take enabled restrict access to account only only this wont work.

I need a fashion to restrict the folders EG my folder and my wifes but till go out my kids folders open up and non reqiure whatsoever password etc.

I deceit seem to asign restriction to folders for different users?.

only read write restrictions whice does not help or am I missing some thing?

Thanks

I’chiliad not the best person to answer the question in full, because I have only briefly tested ‘FTP share’ on 084_base build with a USB pen drive.

fwiw, I recalled I did not take any problems.

I presume you did expand the directory tree to reveal the list of folder names to which you wished to assign RW, R or No admission permissions ?

eg. flash bulldoze containing folders:

folder1

folder2

two FTP usernames:

userA

userB

userA given RW access to folder1 & folder2.

userB given R access to folder1, and No admission to folder2.

I encountered a trouble where the wink drive was mounting and dismounting oftentimes when 084_base Nightly build was installed on a Samsung CY-SWR1100, which was why I abandoned using the USB port for file sharing.

All firmwares after .084 seem to have a little upshot for me. After a reboot near of the time I need to turn SMB off and back on from the router’s menu in social club for my shares to exist usable once again. I originally idea that .085, .086, and .087 was broken and always reflashed .084 for my shares to work once again but information technology only took needed to exist toggled off and on for the SMB shares to piece of work again.

.084 didn’t have this trouble though. Every restart of the router on the older firmware didn’t suspension SMB. Information technology merely seems that everything later that version has an issue for me.
