Cant Do Dji Mavic 2 Firmware Update

Hi, and lamentable if this has been addressed before but I continually have major bug with firmware. Similar many of you, I tend to fly my drone in remote places where there is no WiFi or cell signal. I tin’t count how many times I’ve tried to wing and and then had firmware update issues when I tin’t download. The big trouble though is that, instead of just suggesting I update when possible, this generates errors that leave me unable to fly. Just the other twenty-four hours for example I had a downwardly motility sensor fault and, even though my max pinnacle was set to 100 meters, I wasn’t able to elevator the drone more than about meters. Then, I was at an awesome waterfall and simply couldn’t practise any drone photography because of the firmware outcome basically crippling the drone.
I realize that keeping the firmware upwards to date is good do merely the trouble is that I can’t update firmware out in the field every time a new release comes out. Surely there must exist a way around this every bit I’ve found that information technology just makes drone flight practically impossible. I have to believe that I must exist missing something equally this would but exist a terrible style to handle firmware updates for a device that we all use out in rural/remote areas. I capeesh if anyone has suggestions for how to avoid this. Thanks so much! |

I don’t understand the issue I guess. With no net available, how does the app know there is an update available and necessary? |

Hello there GreggB. I am sorry for the problem this has caused and thank you for reaching out. Kindly try to update the firmware earlier going in the field and fly your DJI drone using DJI Assistant 2 using a PC. You can download the software here:

I get the feeling that new firmware is detected when having a connection. If the connection stays on, it is even downloaded. But only installed the side by side time y’all starting time up, wetter you lot have a connection or not.
This is not the starting time claiming updates without a connection. A good practice is to check updates at domicile connected to the internet earlier flight. |

I was always ignore updates when out in the field, even the fly safe ones, they can all look until I get domicile. I believe your motion sensor consequence was not related to the firmware update awaiting. |

Thanks for this. The trouble I take is that I can’t ignore the updates. If information technology says inconsistent firmware institute while I’m out in the field, I become these errors, that like I said, basically brand it impossible to wing. |

Yes, I do effort to do this earlier I head out simply the trouble is that DJI seems to release updates and then ofttimes that I tin can notwithstanding become an inconsistent firmware error while out in the field. Is at that place non whatsoever setting to allow one to wing normally anyway? |

inconsistent firmware commonly means yous’ve installed an update previously simply one of the components hasn’t been updated however, most usually this is a battery as each battery has to go through the update process when do the firmware. |

Hello, Stephen. I probably have not done each of the batteries. I assume that I do this through DJI assistant by plugging in the drone and each bombardment? I will attempt that before I caput out next time. Thanks! |

If the drone works fine ordinarily, I ever set the phone to airplane style before I leave abode (no 4g or wi-fi) and you will non go disturbed when out flying. |

Firmware did non cripple your drone. And if you plow off autoupdating of apps in your telephone or tablet, that will stop it from nagging y’all about firmware updates (that usually do cipher for you anyway). |
