HP and Compaq Monitors – Updating a Monitor Commuter

This document explains the purpose of monitor drivers, how to become them, and how to use them.

Find and install monitor drivers for Windows

Monitors that are Plug and Play uniform commonly do not need a separate monitor driver for normal viewing because the Plug and Play procedure provides the brandish modes that the monitor and graphic adapter can produce. However, if a monitor driver is available, installing information technology can provide a wider range of display resolutions.     to have Windows search the calculator and the Net for the latest driver software,

     or

    If you take a driver disc, select
    Scan my computer for driver software.

Manually selecting an older CRT monitor in Windows 98, Me, and XP

  1. Open Device Manager:

    1. In Windows XP, Correct-click the

    Next.

  6. Select
    Don’t search…
    or
    … or Display a listing, and then click
    Adjacent

  7. Select your monitor name in the pick window.

  8. Click
    Next, and so click
    Terminate.

  9. In Windows XP, remove the check from
