Did you buy ane and discover it did non do what you needed and buy the second considering of that? So the ATEQ Quickset needs a figurer to employ it. Does the Autel TS 401 serve that function? In other words: the two units connect together to perform the chore. j2k [OP] Well-Known Member Joined: April four, 2017 Member: #215356 Messages: 97 Gender: Male person Not that complicated. ATEQ quickset tin can read your ECU and reprogram/upload the TPMS code, simply cant read the TPMS code directly on the tires. That’southward where TS 401 comes in. It reads and activates the TPMS sensors mounted on the tires. I bought the TS 401 to find out the TPMS codes that came with a new ready of tires. ted44 Member Joined: October 17, 2017 Member: #233229 Messages: 8 Gender: Male Alder932 Well-Known Member Joined: Feb 24, 2017 Fellow member: #211522 Messages: 54 B.C., Canada Vehicle: 2013 Tacoma Limited Terminal fall I successfully used an Autel TS401 (and the ATEQ QuickSet tool) for the first time when I put on my mounted snow tires. After updating the unit software today (V.v.41) the TS401 unit won’t even show a Tacoma equally one of the vehicle options. I so downgraded the software to V3.two just still no Tacoma. I had to downgrade the firmware version to V3.12 to discover a Tacoma listed. Once I did that everything worked merely fine. And in that location may be alternatives that I am not aware of. Truth be told, somewhere in TW I read almost another member who was using the 401 in combination with the Quickset and took that equally useful advice. A last verdict on the 401 will depend upon a response from the client representative adjacent week, as to why the latest firmware version doesn’t take Tacomas (or Tundras for that affair) in their automobile databank. Did client service answer your question? or figure out the issue (No Tacoma, Tundra) I was thinking of updating my firmware until I saw your post. Thanks Simply an FYI. For the Autel if yous don’t run into Tacoma you can utilise any other toyota equivalent that has the same TPMS. I was able to use 4runner and Tundra to pull the TPMS coding. Since I believe they use the same TPMS freq. othater Well-Known Member Joined: Aug 22, 2009 Member: #21558 Messages: 347 Gender: Male SoCal-Walnut Vehicle: 06 Prerunner SR5 TRD Sport Pitiful to leap in on J2K’s for auction mail service. Hey Kenny, Did y’all run the firmware update? I recall y’all offered help with reading and programming TPMS in the past. Have yous dealt with the ECU stuck in loop outcome. I take a 06 and I call up I’1000 stuck in the loop since I had a bad sensor and I button the reset to many times. I purchase a new TPMS but since I’m stuck Techstream wont read the ECU for some reason. My plan was to run the firmware update so I can programme an Autel programmable sensor with the dead sensor ID. Anyone else get stuck in the ECU TPMS loop? and how did you correct it? Thank you I think I ran into this effect in one case on an 06 as well. I think I unplugged the battery to reset the computer then ran the programming again. Before y’all run the programming practice the read with the Quickset and see what ID are yet programmed on the reckoner. That will requite y’all a proficient indicator if the computer took the new ID or if information technology didn’t. I call back on ane of the 06 I did the calculator wouldn’t take the ID. Then I pulled the battery and allow the power bleed to reset the computer and tried information technology again. Not sure if this will help. Regarding the update I believe past Autel was on the newest v5.four, just i’ll accept to ostend that. The quickset i’m not sure which version I was on. PM me on the side for any questions.
