Hi Sudharshan MK and thanks for your help though then far it hasn’t got things going for me.
I’ve done as you suggested and I got conflicting results so I’ll tell you what’southward happened now. I followed your first suggestion and Windows told me that the correct ATI HD4200 driver was installed. And so I rechecked nether properties and it told me that no commuter was installed. And so, I followed your 2nd proposition and Used Auto detect. This told me that the driver was installed. I decided to take more desperate action and uninstalled the driver (which supposedly wasn’t installed anyway!) with the expectancy that it would be automatically re-installed. It has been but under backdrop it still insists that no driver is installed!

I had this same outcome start today also. November 23 2017.
Ii security updates installed this forenoon for C++ x86 and x64. Uninstalled these updates, viola 2 monitors again.

Thanks. That worked perfectly. My older version of my Display Adapter driver was from 2 years agone.
I had already washed some enquiry and had uninstalled the latest Windows security update from a calendar week ago. It took 10 minutes, but did not fix the screen resolution. Then I had to reinstall it anyway for security purposes.

I followed your pedagogy. I am able to install the 4200 driver because the progress bar is passed from 0% to 100%. Yet, after then naught happens in the Device manager.
I take opened the video adapter properties. I still encounter the Microsoft Basic Display adapter.
How can I remove this adapter? Maybe, and then the 4200 driver will exist active.
