Unofficially unlocked, Rooted Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 with
TWRP
installed
Windows / Linux
Instructions :

– Download the latest OTA firmware from Asus official website [plow off your VPN and head to asus.com > Products > Phones > Zenfone Max > Zenfone Max Pro (M2) > SUPPORT > Drivers and tools > Bios and Firmware ]
– Extract the firmware zip and go to > META-INF > com > google > android
– open updater-script with a annotation editor preferably notepad++
– Remove all the lines (affirm/abort lines)

You should exist very carefull that you downloaded the right(sku) firmware for your device, else doing this might brick your device
– Save it, rezip the firmware and re-create it to sdcard
– Download and extract “Relock” zip
– Copy stockrecovery.img to sdcard
– Become to “adb + asus drivers” folder and install ADB and necessary drivers
– Wink TWRP, if you are on whatsoever other recovery
– Boot into recovery > install > flash the firmware nada
– Reboot to recovery, if custom recovery comes once more, install > image file > stockrecovery.img > as recovery > flash > Reboot to bootloader
– Go to “relock” binder, open an elevated command prompt (admin) and enter : (device should be listed)
at present execute relock_bl.cmd (windows) or ./relock.sh (linux)
Device volition boot upwardly without unlocked bootloader warning.
To check if bootloader is locked, go to fastboot and enter :
Thats information technology, bootloader relocked!

The method will work but you lot volition need the stock rom for your region.
Rename relock.txt to relock.sh
then run(sudo ./relock.sh) through the terminal(sudo chmod -R +777 relock.sh ===> run this earlier running relock.sh). Say thanks if y’all desire.

i already checked there. simply its empty. there is no firmware file there at present. how did u guys download the firmware? there is nothing on that page.

I realized mail service at wrong thread :giddy:
I never had issue before with another phone. attempt restart my PC, uninstall reinstall driver, try all my USB port, change USB cables, all the same didn’t brand information technology. Seems Google can’t help me
And this happen if I type on cmd “fastboot devices” and then “fastboot flash recovery blabla.img”

Inside the zip become to meta inf and open updater script and remove the lines starting with assert and arrest at the first and save it.
