Asus Tm 1900 Firmware Restoration Tool Not in Rescue Mode

I am at a impasse

When i upload said version of firmware TM-AC1900_3.0.0.4_376_1703-g0ffdbba.trx

I get this error in epitome below

“The file transferred is non a valid firmware epitome.”

My current firmware version is 3.0.0.4.376_3199-ge62f8ab, I am trying to convert the TM 1900 to AC68U firmware.

How do i get around this?

How to flash TM-AC1900 to AC68U:
1. Install
  WinSCP, Putty, and a file archiver. Install the
  Asus Restore Utility.
2. Create a folder on your desktop, proper noun it “router”.
3. Download
  this file
  and excerpt it to the newly fabricated router folder. Information technology contains a firmware to downgrade to, a firmware to upgrade to, and mtd-write.
4. Set static IP for PC.
  showtime > run > ncpa.cpl > double click Ethernet > backdrop > IPV4 >
  
  IP: 192.168.29.five
  
  Subnet: Default (255.255.255.0)
  
  Gateway: 192.168.29.i
5. Place router into Recovery/Restore mode
  Hold reset button x seconds
  
  Power off router (keep holding reset)
  
  Expect 10 seconds, keep holding reset
  
  Power on router holding reset for 10 more seconds
6. Get to 192.168.29.1 in a web browser
  If Mini-CFE won’t load utilise Asus Restore Utility
7. Flash TM-AC1900_3.0.0.4_376_1703-g0ffdbba.trx

I am on pace 7 when i flash it i get that mistake?

How to flash TM-AC1900 to AC68U:

Install

IP: 192.168.29.5

Subnet: Default (255.255.255.0)

Gateway: 192.168.29.i

Place router into Recovery/Restore mode
Agree reset push 10 seconds

Power off router (keep property reset)

Wait ten seconds, keep holding reset

Power on router holding reset for 10 more seconds

Go to 192.168.29.ane in a web browser
If Mini-CFE won’t load use Asus Restore Utility

Flash TM-AC1900_3.0.0.4_376_1703-g0ffdbba.trx

I am on step vii when i flash it i get that error?

Is the router in rescue/recovery manner when yous attempt this?
I did mine on an isolated laptop

This has to exist done via Ethernet cablevision direct connection.
Static IP of PC has to be set at 192.168.29.(50)* a range college than the router login IP of 192.168.29.1
All other wireless needs to exist turned off

I have no thought what you are talking almost.

I cant plough on ssh or telnet I have to downgrade I cant practise anything.

I put it in rescue mode upload said file get error bulletin.

The restore utility doesn’t fine the router.

I have no idea what you lot are talking about.

Read all the steps first, not just follow from the top #1 and start. The CFE is the bootloader for the router firmware.

Side tab Router “tools” “sysinfo” , 4th box downwards.

I did mine over 3 years ago, you lot nearly likely cannot get forward due to a electric current CFE that does not allow a downgrade.
The only work effectually that I tin come across is to downgrade the CFE first.

And then wink a current Merlin AC68U build.
If I was trying I would try the Merlin 384.8_2 build:

You may be able to skip some steps merely I can’t guide you. Rolling back the firmware was meant to aid in downgrading the CFE.
It may non wok that fashion now, every bit ASUS has tightened up on this action.

Have you lot tried rebooting the router afterward the failed flash via plough off button, unplug, turn on button to drain system(while unplugged), and so plough off, and so plug in and turn on.

And a factory default reset.

If your current Firmware does not have a FIELD for assuasive SSH then a straight router build would have that option.
