Connect the shared printer to another PC

Fix Sharing settings

The settings you use to share devices is often turned on by default. If not, follow the steps in this section to plow settings on using settings or Command Panel.

  1. Select the
    Start
     button, and then select
    Settings

    Network & Cyberspace

  2. Under Related settings, select
    Change avant-garde sharing options.

  3. In the Advanced sharing settings dialog box, expand the
    Private
    section. Side by side, under Network discovery, select
    Turn on network discovery.

  4. Nether File and printer sharing, select
    Plough on file and printer sharing.

    Change advanced sharing settings.

  3. In the Advanced sharing settings dialog box, expand the

    department. Next, under Network discovery, select
    Turn on network discovery.

  4. Under File and printer sharing, select Plow on file and printer sharing.

Find your PC name

You’ll need the name of your principal PC, also called the computer name or device name, to connect the secondary PC to the printer.

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type
    computer name.

  2. Select
    View your PC name.

  3. Under Device name, yous’ll run across the PC (computer) name.
