I have the same driver problem on my Sony Vaio vpcca3s1e. I recently upgrade my notebook from windows 7 to 8 and I used for applications and drivers their Upgrade tool(online version) provided by sony.

I accept this problem as well for my Vaio VPCSA2C5E. SOE support won’t help ,me because I did a clean Win 8 install. My WAN card/simcard reader is not working though, so maybe it refers to this device.
